Setup Statement (Karate Chop Point): Even though I feel ashamed of myself, I deeply and completely accept myself.
Tapping Rounds:
Round 1 (Tap on the Karate Chop Point while repeating the Setup Statement): Even though I feel this shame, I choose to love and accept myself anyway. Even though I’ve done things I regret, I choose to forgive myself. Even though I’ve felt ashamed, I choose to heal and let go.
Round 2 (Tap on the following points, while stating your feelings):
- Eyebrow: This shame I feel.
- Side of the Eye: All this shame.
- Under the Eye: I’m so ashamed of myself.
- Under the Nose: It weighs me down.
- Chin: I’ve carried this shame for too long.
- Collarbone: All this shame I’ve been holding onto.
- Under the Arm: It’s time to release it.
- Top of the Head: I choose to let go of this shame.
Round 3 (Tap on the same points, while focusing on positive affirmations):
- Eyebrow: I choose to release this shame.
- Side of the Eye: I am not defined by my past mistakes.
- Under the Eye: I am a work in progress.
- Under the Nose: I choose to grow and learn.
- Chin: I am worthy of love and acceptance.
- Collarbone: I forgive myself for any past actions.
- Under the Arm: I am becoming a better version of myself.
- Top of the Head: I release this shame and embrace self-compassion.
Round 4 (Tap on the same points, while affirming your worth):
- Eyebrow: I am worthy of self-love.
- Side of the Eye: I am deserving of forgiveness.
- Under the Eye: I release this shame and guilt.
- Under the Nose: I choose to love and honor myself.
- Chin: I let go of the past.
- Collarbone: I am free to be me.
- Under the Arm: I am moving forward with confidence.
- Top of the Head: I release the shame, and I am at peace with myself.
Take a deep breath and assess your feelings of shame. If it’s still present, you can repeat these rounds or modify the script to address specific aspects of your shame. Continue tapping until you feel a sense of relief and self-acceptance.
